Stockings

I forgot to add the pictures of our stockings from Christmas, so here they are! Daddy's and Jackson's were empty this year, they were on the naughty list.

Grady's Snowman

At school, Grady colored a snowman and his teachers put a nice little winter poem with it. So cute!

Day After Christmas

Today we went to the mall to get some socks for Grady and winter boots for myself. We had a little play time in the mall because it's just too cold outside.

Grady at the top of the slide; he likes to sit there for about 10 seconds before he slides down. I wonder what he's thinking about...

Our backyard when we got home.

Present from Santa

Grady woke up this morning not knowing that Santa was going to leave him a present! When he woke up and saw this gigantic thing wrapped by the tree he seemed a bit confused. He slowly, but surely, got it open.

Christmas Night

After dinner and presents, we had a little picture session by the tree.

Santa Claus Visit

Yesterday we went to the mall to visit Santa Claus. Lately, Grady has been very interested in this Santa Claus character. He sees his picture and says, "Claus". When we approached Santa, Grady seemed to be fine and even gave him high five. As soon as I put Grady on his lap, Grady was not so happy. Picture below.

Doesn't seem too happy here but maybe next year will be a bit better

Grady and the Tree

I have caught Grady playing with the ornaments quite a bit lately and he also likes to pull the lovely ribbon mommy put up on the tree. He also spends much of his time playing near it too, very sweet.

Recent Pictures of Grady

Here are some recent pictures of Grady that I hadn't previously added to the blog that I thought were cute.
Grady, which I'm sure all kids do, loves frosting. He loves cake, cookies and donuts. Whenever we go to Starbucks and get him a little bread loaf, he always eats the frosting first!

Here's a picture of Grady on the back porch that I thought was sweet.

Grady Loves Pizza!

So the most hilarious thing happened the other day. We had pizza delivered one night and put the leftovers in the fridge. The next day, Grady opened the fridge, took out the pizza box, brought it over to the couch and started eating the pizza. At first I was going to get the pizza box and put a piece on a plate for him. But really, how can you stop something like this from happening?

Outside Our Window

I took this picture the other night from our window when it was snowing. I love the snow and Kris and I love when the snow is falling, so peaceful and calm. The picture is a bit blurred by the window reflection but thought I'd share it anyway.

Grady's Hand Wreath

Grady and I (well mainly I) made a Christmas wreath by tracing his hands. He likes when I trace his hands because it tickles his little fingers. It's fun to have arts and crafts time with him; he was especially fascinated with the glue stick this time.

Tree at Night

We went out this weekend and got a Christmas tree! As soon as Grady saw it, wrapped up and all, he said "tree". Haha! He likes to get behind it and hide. The red tree to the left is Grady's tree.

Grady's First Snow!

It snowed last night and as soon as Grady went over to the window he wanted to go outside to see what all that white stuff was. We got all bundled up and headed outside for him to play in his first snow! At first he didn't want his gloves on but after he started playing with the snow, he soon realized that gloves were probably a good idea.

Grady's excited!

Decorating a Cake

We decided it would be fun to decorate a cake with Grady since he loves cake so much! (what kid doesn't, right?) We made a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and Christmas tree. I think Grady's favorite part was eating the icing!

Sunday Before the Snow

This was the backyard yesterday before it snowed. It was still cold so we were all bundled up; even Jackson had his blue fleece coat on!

Holiday Photos

About a month ago we took a few holiday photos to send out for Christmas cards. There were so many to choose from but we eventually picked a photo that has the three of us. I was very tempted to send this one out just because I thought it to be artistically appealing but I am sure everyone would want to actually see Grady's face!
I thought this to be sweet as well

It's Cold Outside!

It's in the 30's and snowing here in Chicago so I think it is time we have to start getting creative indoors. Today we went to the Children's Museum; Grady really seems to like it more and more and every time we go, he wants to spend more time there.

Little Boy Exploring

It's so fun watching Grady enjoy the outdoors just like his mommy and daddy. He will pick up the smallest of leaves and sticks and play with them. I wonder what he thinks about...
