Exploring the City

Kris and I love to travel around the surrounding Chicago suburbs. This weekend we went to a small town called Park Ridge and found a park for Grady to play at. It has been surprisingly nice weather lately so it has been great for us to be able to spend a decent amount of time outdoors.

Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving! We hope everyone had a wonderful day! We started the day off by spending time as a family then we joined Grandma Athena and Grandpa John at a club they belong to. They had a wonderful spread of food and a ton of desserts to choose from.

It's getting cold here in Chicago and we are having to bundle up! Today we went out and the weather was in the 40's but that didn't stop us!

Saturday Stroll

Today John, my mom, Grady and I went out for lunch at a little Irish bar down the street. Afterwards we decided to take a nice afternoon stroll and on the way we bought a few toys for Grady at a local toy store, Building Blocks. When we got back to the house, we enjoyed the nice weather on the back porch.

First Piece of Acrylic Art

Grady had his first painting session with mommy's paints. It was messy but it was fun! First he was using the paint brushes then he decided to use his fingers. Daddy had the bath ready for him as soon as he was finished with his masterpiece.

Thanksgiving Turkey Hands

Today Grady and I made his Thanksgiving turkey hands! We used his feet as the body and hands as the feathers. I love the fall colors, so pretty!

I love the sweet little faces Grady makes, they almost make me want to cry they are so sweet. (okay, maybe that's just me). Here are a couple I found that I have taken over the past month that make me tear up a bit...

We are members of the Children's museum here in Chicago. We went there today to have a little fun! Grady had a great time (and so did we)!

Trip to Wilmette

We started out the day by going to a local coffee house to have breakfast and decided that since it was such a beautiful day, we were going to take advantage of it. After the coffee house, we took a train ride to a northern suburb (about 4 miles away) that we are thinking of moving to.

A Day at the Park

The fall is here in Chicago and the weather keeps getting colder! We are trying to take advantage of the nice conditions while we can. It is 50 degrees today but that's nothing compared to how cold it will get!

We walked to the park that is a block away from our house and Grady played on the jungle gym and in the sandbox.
